Wilma Rudell McGinnis Pyles, 98, of Fairmont, formerly of Newburg, WV, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Windy Hill Village in Kingwood. She was born in the Tunnelton area on May 11, 1919, daughter of the late Morgan W. and Ada Hartman McGinnis.

She was Methodist by faith and attended Bird’s Creek UMC in her early years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and caring for her family.

Wilma is survived by one daughter, Doris Jean Wotring and Charles of Kingwood; six sons, Rev. Truman Lee Pyles and Wanda of Ball Ground, GA, Roger A. Pyles of Independence, Daniel L. Pyles, Sr. and Carol of Guyton, GA, and Richard P. Pyles of Fairmont; grandchildren, Teresa A. Hyre and John of Kingwood, Debra K. Shahan and Frank of Kingwood, David C. Wotring and Amy of Terra Alta, Randall P. Wotring and Pamela of Kingwood, Christopher L. Wotring of Reedsville, Bobby L. Pyles and Julie of Waleska, GA, Jeffrey Pyles of Ball Ground, GA, Dale Wayne Pyles and Anita of Morgantown, Daniel L. Pyles, Jr. and Beth of College Grove, TN, Loye G. Pyles and Chelsea of Guyton, GA, Marcus L. Pyles of Radcliff, KY, Samara Klar and Larry of Louisville, KY, Lucy Ready and Billy of San Francisco, CA, Tammy Deluna, Jeffrey Short and Kasey, Richard Scott Pyles and Earlene of Fairmont; several great and great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her family.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Allen Dale Pyles; two daughter-in-laws, Carol Jean Boylan Pyles and Debra Cox Pyles; three sisters; and two brothers.

The Pyles family would like to thank WV Caring for their good care of Wilma and the staff of Windy Hill Village in Kingwood.

The family will receive friends at Domico Funeral Home, 414 Gaston Ave. in Fairmont on Monday, January 22, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The funeral service will be on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Gladesville Cemetery in Independence, WV.
