Lucille "Lucy" Briones, 89, died Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Rapid City Regional Hospice Auxiliary House.

Lucille "Lucy" Marie Jimenez was born November 26, 1928 in Colorado to Ladislado and Lupe (Vera) Jimenez.

She married Frank Robert Briones, Sr on May 18, 1946 at Rapid City, SD. Frank served in the US Army.

Lucy worked various jobs in Rapid City including Servall Laundry, laundry department at Town & Country Hotel, she did a lot of babysitting and child care as she really enjoyed working with children. She also liked to sew, making clothes, pillow cushions, and patchwork. Lucy also like garage sales and liked to shop. She loved to play her guitar and accordion, esp. at family gatherings. Her greatest feat was making her famous Mexican tortillas.

Lucy is survived by one son; one sister; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Tony, one great-great-grandson Hendrix, four brothers, and two sisters.

Her Memorial Service will be 10:00 am Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Osheim & Schmidt Funeral Home.

Burial will follow at 12:00 pm at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
