Mrs. Bessie Keezle Allman, 56, died suddenly Saturday night at nine o'clock at her home on Route One, Churchville. Death, attributed to a heart ailment, was unexpected as Mrs. Allman had been in her usual good health.
The former Miss Bessie Wlnegard, she was born in Augusta County.
She is survived by her husband, Erasmus Allman; two sons, Harry Lee, at home, and John Loyd, Blue Grass; two daughters. Mrs. D. R. Marshall and Mrs. R. L. Sipe, both of Route One, Churchville; two brothers, Emmett Winegard, Bristow. and William Winegard, Washington, D.C.; a half-brother, Mervin Talley, Route One, Churchville; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from Presbyterian Church today at eleven a. m. conducted by the Rev, Paul Shiflet, assisted by the Rev W. H. Zigler. Burial will in Union Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Wade Frank, Blair Huffer, E.N. Cox, J.O. Klbler. W. E. Lucas, and E. A. Dudley. Flowerbearers will be Miss Grace Howdyshell, Mesdames Mary Howdyshell, Blair Huffer, E. N. Cox, Lomo Green, Carson Glenn, James Breeden, Ruth Talley, and the Misses Margaret and Ethel Rexrode.
