Mr. Bernard A. Dragotto, 74, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2005 in Tampa Florida after a brief illness.

He was born October 6, 1930 in Utica, New York, a son of the late Francesco and Caterina (Tomaino) Dragotto. He was educated in local schools and was married to Carmella Durso on June 5, 1954 and enjoyed fifty years of marriage. Ben was a US Army Veteran in the Korean War and was an employee of Sears for thirty-five years. He was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Thomas Church and an active member in its Mens Club. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, photography, drawing and above all else, being with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Carmella; a son and daughter-in-law, Frank and Jacquelyn Dragotto; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Greg Booth; and a granddaughter, Allison Dragotto who was The apple of his eye. Also surviving are his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Antoinette Raab, Adele and Vincent Palazza and Joseph Capocasale; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Gloria Dragotto and his sister, Mary Capocasale.

His funeral will be held on Saturday at 10 am from The Matt Funeral Home and at 11 am at St. Thomas Church, New Hartford with interment in Calvary Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call on Friday from 4-7 pm at The Matt Funeral Home, 700 Rutger St. corner of Mohawk St. in Utica. The family would like to give special thanks to Cheryl and Ron Bowen for all their acts of kindness.
