James W. Taylor, 63, Kokomo, died at 5:06 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at Howard Regional Health System. He was born April 18, 1943, in Kokomo, to Margaret Davison Taylor and James F. Taylor. He married Faye L. (Morgan) Taylor on Nov. 10, 1994, in Peru.

He was a 1962 graduate of Ernest Harmon High School, Newfoundland, Canada. Mr. Taylor served in the U. S. Air Force from Jan. 20, 1965, until Jan. 17, 1969. He joined the Army National Guard on Feb. 28, 1979, and retired March 1, 1995. Mr. Taylor also worked as a laser operator for the Square D Corp., Peru.

He attended First Church of God, Kokomo.

Surviving are wife, Faye L. Taylor, Kokomo; one daughter, Teresa L. and husband Craig Stone, Kokomo; two sons, Aaron and wife Beverly Tyler, Battle Creek, Mich., and Wesley Tyler, Kokomo; he is also survived by Patricia-Tyler Aeschleman, Kokomo; grandchildren, Averie Stone, Coleman Stone, Bailey Tyler, Kira Tyler, Katie Tyler, Morgan Tyler, Kelsey Tyler and Emily Tyler; sister, Frankie Taylor Boe, Bremerton, Wash.; nieces and nephews, Karla May, Jennifer Doherty, Jami Jeffery and Kevin Boe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, David Roger Taylor.

Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Ellers Mortuary, 725 S. Main St., with Pastor Jerry Ausbrook officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery, with military honors by the Army National Guard of Indiana. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the mortuary.
