Vera Edith Kay Evans (96) passed away peacefully from natural causes related to age and a fall on Friday, January 19, 2018.

She was born on September 13, 1921 in Tremonton, Utah to Calvin Kay and Lacy Cornelia Westmoreland Kay. She lived most of her life in Tremonton and Roy, and graduated from Bear River High School.

Vera married the love of her life, John Roger Evans, on March 11, 1943 in Fort Lewis, Washington. They were sealed in the LDS Logan Temple on January 18, 1962. She was widowed on December 10, 1995.

She was a member of the LDS Roy 12th Ward.
Vera worked diligently in the home as a homemaker. She crafted beautiful handmade quilts and wove intricate rugs. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by two sons and two daughters: John (Genevieve) Evans, Darrell (Martha) Evans, Becky (Jeff) Clark, Debbie (Ross) Haycock; 18 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren, and one brother.

Vera is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S.

Friends may visit family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary.

Interment, Tremonton Riverview Cemetery.
