APPLEGATE, EDWARD N., JR.
On March 29, 2007, of Westmont, NJ. Age 71 years.
Beloved husband of the late Marilyn Applegate. Dear father of Donna (Kurt) Lobach, Michael (Maureen) Applegate, Richard (Jodi) Applegate, Barbara (David) Heath, and the late Deborah (the late Michael) Schoen. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, two brothers, Thomas (wife-Bonnie) and Steven and a sister, Nikala Applegate.
A 1952 graduate of Haddonfield Memorial High School, Mr. Applegate attained outstanding achievement in sports, receiving the Davis Kelchner Award in 1951 and 1952. He was a Public Service lineman, retiring in 1981 after 24 years of service. On August 13, 1959, he received the National Safety Council President's Award for the resuscitation of a man who suffered a severe electrical shock. Mr. Applegate loved fishing, wood projects and being outdoors.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday 6:30-8:00 PM at the FOSTER-WARNE FUNERAL HOME, Haddon & Lees Ave., Collingswood, NJ. Funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM. Interment private. The family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 20 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield, NJ 08033.
