Franklin Pierce Farwell was born March 10, 1879 at Renovo, PA to Absalom Farwell and Martha Jane Baird. First wife may have been Fannie Beaumont and at time of death, Harriet Corbin.

Dr. Pierce Farwell.
Dr. Pierce Farwell, of Galeton, a former resident of this city,died Saturday evening at 6 o'clock at his home at Galeton. Word of his death was received in a long telegraph message to his cousin, Mrs. Mary A. Fox, East Main Street.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock at his home at Galeton, and the body will be brought to this city for burial in Highland Cemetery. Mrs. Fox and possibly other relatives in the vicinity will attend the funeral.
Dr. Farwell was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Absalom Farwell, and the family resided in the home at the intersection of West Church Street and Fifth Street, now occupied by the O'Connell family.
Dr. Farwell was graduated from the Central State Normal School, now the State Teachers College and the Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia. He had also taken three courses in surgery at Mayo Brothers Clinic, Rochester, Minn. He was chief surgeon at the Galeton Hospital, former surgeon at a CCC camp near Galeton, and surgeon for the Fall Brook Railroad. He also conducted a pharmacy at Galeton. He had been in failing health since two years ago when he suffered a stroke.
He was also a member of the Methodist Church, the Masonic fraternity, the Shrine and Consistory, and the Galeton Lodge of Elks. Survivors are his wife, a son and a daughter, Ward and Jane, Galeton; three brothers and a sisters, Dr. Howard Farwell, Westfield; Milton, Williamsport, and Truman, and Mrs. Harry Christ, Jersey Shore.
