Hazel B. Leavens , 75, of Laurel Court, died yesterday in Pawtucket Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of George M. Leavens Sr.
Born in Pawtucket, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Emily (Hodde) Paine. She had been a Greenville resident since 1958.
She had been a supervisor at the White Tower restaurant, Providence for 28 years, before retiring in 1970. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Manton Hose 3.
Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Frederick A. and Richard A. Kingsley, both of Woonsocket; two daughters, Hazel B. Turley of Jamestown and Carol D. Steinert of Greenville; a stepson, George M. Leavens Jr. of Narragansett; two brothers, Thomas G. Paine of Woonsocket and George A. Paine of Bellingham, Mass.; two sisters, Edythe L. Hand of Bellingham and Doris E. Roberts of Honolulu, Hawaii; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. from the Anderson-Winfield Funeral Home, Route 44, Greenville Common, with a service in St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Putnam Avenue, Greenville, at 11:30. Burial will be in Mineral Spring Cemetery, Pawtucket.
