She is survived by her husband Richard M. Ashford. They were married on May 1, 1976, and were married for 41 years.
She is also survived by her two sons, Robert Alan Ashford and his wife, Tiffany Chesshire Ashford, and son Randall Houston Ashford and his wife Meghan Elizabeth Hall Ashford. Cathy is also survived by her grandson Royce Jennings Ashford, and her granddaughter London Grace Ashford. She is also survived by one brother, William Houston Bobbitt, Jr., and two sisters, Edna Louise Bobbitt Glay and Carol Sue Bobbitt Presnell, of Shreveport, LA and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Houston Bobbitt Sr. & Ozie Marie Kegley Bobbitt. Mother-in-law Lou Nell Carroll Ashford, and brother-in-law Royce Alan Ashford.
Cathy took great pride and ethics in her work as an inventory analyst, serving in the medical supply business for most of her life, and her last job was managing the inventory for aircraft parts for the United States Air Force's Lockheed-Martin F-22 and the F-35 fighters.
Cathy was a huge fan of high school football, and was the #1 fan of her two sons, who both played and excelled at the sport of football. Her loves included traveling, bowling, sewing, cooking, making candy. Christmas was looked forward to by family, waiting for her famous peanut brittle. Cathy truly loved Christmas with her family and, most of all, riding her Harley-Davidson motorcycle alongside her husband.
