Jorgen married Anne (Ane) Kirstine Jensen March 1, 1870 in Denmark. They went to Nibe, Denmark April 5, 1874. They later moved to Copenhagen February 26, 1899.
On Jun 8, 1899 they sailed on the ship CITY OF ROME to America. They then settled in Elsinore, Sevier, Utah, 6 years after their son Soren Christian Hermansen came to America.
They had seven children in Denmark. Two died as infants. Two daughters stayed in Denmark. Two sons and a daughter came to America.
He was my great grandfather.
Jorgen Hermansen, aged 57 years and eight months who arrived from Denmark last fall died of climatic fever last Sunday after an illness of over two months; he leaves an aged widow, two married sons and a brother to mourn his departure.
He was buried Wednesday at 10 a.m.
