Rosemary Grolo, 90, of Monticello, passed away at 7:10 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Monticello Healthcare.

The daughter of the late Ralph and Bernice (Nydegger) Fidler, she was born on February 18, 1927 in Lafayette, Indiana. Her marriage of 57 years was to Francis Grolo on August 25, 1946 in Lafayette; he preceded her in death on August 2, 2003.

For several years, Rosemary was self-employed and ran childcare services. Children were Rosemary’s passion, she was a foster parent for over 40 years.

She was a member of Clarkshill Christian Church for over 50 years. Rosemary enjoyed ceramics, painting, plastic needlework, gardening, fishing, traveling, mowing, and flowers. She loved spending time with her family and will be deeply missed.

She leaves behind one daughter; one brother; five grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rosemary is preceded in death by four brothers.
