Liz Black, 83, a longtime resident of Hurst, Texas passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 in Azle, Texas surrounded by her family. She will always be remembered as a loving daughter wife, mother and Nana to all that knew and loved her.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 3pm at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel with interment to follow at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 from 5:30pm to 8pm at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Foundation, by visiting www.nleomf.org/donate.
She was born on March 17, 1934, a St. Patrick's Day baby to Marshall and Agnes Andrews in Argyle, Wisconsin. She was married to the one love of her life, Delma Neil Black on June 29, 1952 in Yuma, Arizona. She spent her life raising her family of 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her #1 role was being a Nana, rooting from the sidelines, picking up from school and keeping the kids in line. She loved traveling back home to Wisconsin visiting friends and family for weeks at a time.
Liz is survived by daughter Beth (Ben) Withered of Springtown, Texas, son, Joe Black of Euless, Texas, daughter, Jean (Ken) Ward of Springtown, Texas and son Nathan Black of Hurst, Texas; brother, Joe Andrews of Weatherford, Texas and sister Mary Andrews Montgomery of Weatherford, Texas; grandchildren, Mimi (Adam) Packett of Richland Hills, Texas, Cody(Leslie) Phillips of Weatherford, Texas, Casey (Michele) Phillips of Watauga, Texas, Justin (Ashlee) Archer of Watauga, Texas, Nikki (Chris) Laudermilk of Rhome, Texas, Audie (Catreana) Black of Rio Vista, Texas and Michael Ward of Springtown, Texas, 11 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Neil; parents Marshall and Agnes; Sisters, Mona, Fola and Nancy, and brothers, Jim and Toby.
