A. Jolene Moyer, age 75, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, at the Mount Joy Hospice Center. She was the wife of W. Bruce Moyer with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage on April 15th. Born in Mount Joy, she was the daughter of the late Martin R. and Katie H. Geib Mummau. She was a member of Grace Point Church of Paradise. Jolene was a graduate of Elizabethtown High School, Class of 1961. In the 60's she worked in the office of Klein Chocolate Company in Elizabethtown. Later she was active in the family business, Gro-Mor Plant Food Co., Inc., Leola where she worked in the office and served on the Board. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
Beside her husband, she is survived by a son M. Dwayne (Debra) Moyer of Lancaster, two grandsons: Brett and Tye Moyer of East Earl, two stepchildren: Richard Moyer of Lancaster and Louise (James) Groff of Gordonville, four step-grandchildren: Eric Garcia, Carline Hernandez, Laura Ressler, and Mathew Groff, 11 step-great-grandchildren, and a sister Katherine M. (John K.) Garber of Elizabethtown.
A funeral service will be held at Grace Point Church, 8 South Singer Avenue, Paradise, on Saturday, February 10th at 11 a.m. with Pastors Tim Rogers and Kevin Hackett officiating. There will be a time to view on Friday at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service. Interment will be in the Paradise Mennonite Cemetery.
