Age 74, of Archbold and longtime resident of Delta, passed away Monday afternoon, May 26, 2014, at the University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born in Silica, OH on May 12, 1940, to the late David W. Evans and Audrey (Smith) Evans. Roger was united in marriage to Geraldine Stevenson and she preceded him in death in 2000. Later he married Mary "Sandy" Wurtz and she survives. Roger worked on many construction projects for 43 years as an Ohio Operating Engineer. Some of his fondest hobbies included hunting, woodworking, gardening and especially planting trees and shrubs.
