"Anna Bourgoine, 98, passed away early Tuesday morning (Jan. 30, 2018) at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. Anna was born Nov. 4, 1919 in Connor, Maine, the daughter of George and Emma (King) Lizotte. Anna and Leonard Bourgoine were married on April 25, 1939 and together they celebrated over 53 years of marriage prior to Leonard passing away in March of 1993. Anna and Leonard resided in Caribou, Maine for a few years prior to moving to Avoca in 1949 and eventually settling in the Wayland area in 1959. Anna was a communicant of St. Mary's and St. Joseph's Church of the Holy Family Catholic Community. Anna's hobbies were many as she was an avid gardener of both flowers and vegetables; she enjoyed cooking; and she especially had great pride in her home as she was a very neat and organized homemaker for her family. Anna was pre-deceased by her parents, George and Emma Lizotte; her husband, Leonard Bourgoine Sr.; a daughter, Teresa Diana Badami; a son, Dale R. Bourgoine; and a son-in-law, Andrew Washy."
