Amy Jean Carpenter, 61, of Midland, died unexpectedly, Tuesday evening, March 29, 2011 at the MidMichigan Medical Center.
She was born on April 26, 1949 in Midland, daughter of Elizabeth K. (Wolf) Merritt and the late Harlen G. Merritt. Amy married Daniel Seward on October 23, 2010.
She was a member of the Community Nazarene Church and had enjoyed playing Nintendo DS, Nintendo Gameboy, watching videos and scrap booking.
Surviving in addition to her husband Daniel and mother, Elizabeth is one son, Jerry W. Harris of Midland; brothers, David (Sue) Merritt of Texas, Douglas (Luann) Merritt of Florida; sisters, Helen (Lewis) Turner of Florida and Juanita (Matt) Snyder of Texas. In addition to her father Harlen, one brother, Chan Merritt predeceased her.
A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from the Community Nazarene Church in Midland. Pastor Dave Anderson will officiate. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the family. Funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors.
