Born in the town of Rantoul Nov. 11, 1876, he as a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Tyson, worked for the Valders Lime Co., and was employed as a woodsman in northern Wisconsin for many years. In his later years, he worked as a farm laborer in the town of Rantoul.
He never married. Survivors are one brother, Frank of Mountain, Wis., and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Colter of Superior. Five brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
Services will be at St. Augustine Catholic Church. The Rev. Ronald Ahearn will be the celebrant of the requiem Mass and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
