Mrs. Eddy was born in Brunswick, Ill., March 24, 1855, and was the daughter of David and Elmira Fraser. When a young girl she moved with her parents to Low Point, Ill., where her girlhood days were spent. She attended the Normal School at Normal, Ill., and afterwards at Mount Holyoke College for Girls for two years. She taught school a number of years in Illinois, Nebraska, and one term in Minnesota, where she became acquainted with her future husband who was then Clerk of Court of Pope County, Minnesota.
There were married at Washburn, Ill., June 24, 1886, and made their home in Glenwood and Sauk Centre, except for six years when she, with the children, accompanied her husband to Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Eddy is survived by her husband, five children, Mrs. H. D. Blanding, of Detroit, Minn., Joyce, Jesse, Richard, and Frances Marion, all residing at home; four sisters, Mrs. Dow Gould, Allerton, Iowa, Mrs. Ruth Wells, Chamberlain, S.D., Miss Ella Fraser of Minneapolis, and Mrs. C. S. Holman, Eureka, Ill.; two uncles, John Dodds, of Chicago Ill., and Wm. Stephenson, of Galesburg, Ill.
