John and Frances later moved to Clinton County, Missouri. After the death of daughter Nancy's first husband, census records seem to indicate that John and Frances raised her sons Jackman and John. John Richardson died in 1882, just short of a month after his daughter's death. They are buried side by side at Antioch Cemetery in Gower, Missouri.
