Vernon Randolph Creasy, 88, of Lynchburg, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the Bedford Hospice House. Born on May 12, 1929, in Campbell County, he was the son of the late John Robert Creasy and the late Agnes Strawn Creasy Craft. Vernon was a retired lineman for C.W. Wright Company and served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was of the Methodist faith. In addition to his parents, Vernon was preceded in death by one brother, Aubrey Creasy. Vernon is survived by his brother, Melvin R. Creasy of Lynchburg; a sister-in-law, Helen Creasy of Harrisonburg; and a host of other loving family members and friends, including Winfred Creasy and Patty Webb, Larry Creasy, Robbie Creasy, Linda Harris, Ramona, Cheryl, Tom and Carolyn Dove, and Dean and Deborah Harrison. A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m., Thursday, February 15, 2018, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Robert Phillips officiating. There will be no formal visitation hours at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
