DANIEL C. GARNER

Daniel Conrad Garner of Farmington, died in the Thomas Dell Memorial Home, Wednesday, July 22, 1964, at the advanced age of 90 years, 11 months. He was born in Bollinger County, Mo., on August 22, 1873, and was a son of the late Samuel Garner and Barbara Barks Garner.

He was united in marriage on Dec. 2, 1897, to Dora Isabelle Myers, who was deceased on Dec. 23, 1944. They were the parents of four children: Edward Garner, who died October 1957; Lacy (Mrs. Charles H.) Smith, Mae (Mrs. Marvin) McCreary and Edna (Mrs. Ralph) Graves, all of Farmington. Besides his daughters, he is survived by six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Garner moved his family from Perryville to Farmington in 1917. He was employed for many years by St. Joseph Lead Company, and later was custodian at the Rice-Stix Factory until his retirement. He was a member of Memorial Methodist Church and the Modern Woodman Lodge in Perryville.

Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, July 24, at the Methodist Church in Cross Roads, conducted by the Rev. Murrell Cunningham. Interment was in the church cemetery. Miller Funeral Service. Miss Naomi Garner played sacred music for the funeral service.
