Otis Chancey, 84, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018.
He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 27, 1933.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Malcolm Chancey, Sr. and Lula Bell Chancey and a brother,Jerry Chancey.
Otis is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Nancy Chancey; son, Rick Chancey; daughter, Karen (Michael) Valencic; grandson, Jonathan Chancey; siblings, Malcolm (Gail) Chancey, Norman (Jean) Chancey, Donnie (Joyce) Chancey, Harold Chancey, Delores Knipp, Sylvia (David) Durr and Lonnie Chancey; and a host of other family members and friends to mourn his passing.
He was a former president and member of Local 20 International Union of Elevator Constructors and retired after 30 years of service. Otis was passionate about family, friends, his beloved pet Bella, hunting and fishing. He enjoyed gardening, had a knack for story telling and had a great sense of humor.
