Esther Virginia Keyser, 94, of Oldtown, passed away Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at Golden Living Center. Born Nov. 19, 1916, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of Charles Michael Hull and Pansy E. (Keys) Hull. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jane Lee Fishel. Mrs. Keyser was a homemaker. She was a member of the Oldtown United Methodist Church. She loved to crochet, bake and spend time with her family. Surviving are her husband of 75 years, Leo Henry Keyser; one son, Charles Leo Keyser and wife Glenda, Oldtown; four grandchildren, Susie Twigg and husband Dailey, Springfield, W.Va., Lisa Piper and husband Steven, Oldtown, Donald Fishel and special friend Dawn Stahlman, Oldtown, Tara Fishel, San Antonio, Texas; five great-grandchildren, Jeannie Martz and husband Matthew, Cumberland, Jason Twigg, Greencastle, Pa., Jennifer Junkins and husband Elwood Jr., Keyser, W.Va., Joshua Piper and fiancée Jackie Piccirilli, Oldtown, Lucas Piper, Oldtown; and great-great-granddaught-er, Kara Junkins. A memorial service will be held at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, (www.scarpellifuneralhomes.com) on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Charles Riggleman officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Oldtown United Methodist Church or Oldtown Fire Company. The family would like to give thanks to the Golden Living Center for their wonderful care.
