Carolyn J. Bandy 77 of Witt passed away at her residence on Wed Feb. 14, 2018, at 8:23am. She was born January 1, 1941, to Rueben and Ellen (Ellis) Whitford in Bond County.
She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She worked as an aide in Greenville IL nursing homes and was a homemaker.
She married John Wesley Robertson who preceded her in death. She then married LeRoy Bandy who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children Carol (Rick) Gudausky of Hillsboro, Mary Robertson and Jerry Rider of Hillsboro, Floyd Bandy of Hillsboro, Joe (Susan) Bandy of Witt and Sherri Bandy of Hillsboro and a special daughter in law Angela (Robertson) Skaggs of Farmington Mo., Grandchildren Michael Myers of Taylor Springs, Kayla Lehnen of Chatham, Chris Myers of Hillsboro, Dakota Bandy of Hillsboro, Johnathon Durbin of Hillsboro, Kyle Bandy of Jamestown Pennsylvania and Laura Morgason Oller of Hillsboro, Great grandchildren Alayna Myers, Jaelynn Myers, Kayson Myers and Natalee Lehnen, Step great grandchildren Paige Lehnen, Jabin Lehnen and Madi Lehnen, one brother Elvin (Aleta) Whitford of Greenville and special cousin Sharon Dann of Litchfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two sons Terry and Claud Robertson, one granddaughter Darlene Robertson, one daughter-in-law Kristina Bandy, two brothers Melvin and LeRoy and two sisters Velma and Rosemary.
Funeral service will be Wednesday Feb. 21, 2018, at 12:00 noon at Hough & Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Jerry Woods officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday Feb. 20, 2018 from 4-6 pm at Hough & Sons Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Camp Butler National cemetery in Springfield.
