William Stephen Goss, 71, of White Stone, known by all as "Bill", left this earth to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 13, 2018. He was surrounded by family and loved ones. Born January 15, 1947, Bill never met a stranger; once he started talking, you may as well sit down because you knew you'd be there for awhile! The Voice will always be remembered as a man that cared deeply for his family, his years at WKWI and WWND as a radio DJ, the only Texaco to ever hit a home run out of the State Penitentiary, and a United States Marine, an honor he wore proudly.

Bill is predeceased by his parents, Lee A. Goss and Virginia Davis Goss. He is survived by his significant other, Charlene Lea; sister, Adele Shotwell (Alan); daughters, Sheila Goss, Maeghaen Eley (Jack), and Rachel Gaghan (Sue); son Kevin Gaghan (Christen); grandsons, Joshua Meador, Mason Bland, Adam Bland, Otto and Brody Eley; granddaughter, Kelseigh Meador; and great granddaughter, Natalyn Meador; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 17th at White Stone United Methodist Church. A private graveside service will follow at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to: Veterans Service Foundation, 101 North 14th Street, 17th Floor, Richmond, VA. 23219. Please include a note on the memo line that it is for VVFS - Virginia Veteran and Family Support. Semper Fi.
