Nels Oscar Hallberg was born on 8 October 1861 in Sweden, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hallberg. After immigrating to the U.S., he was married to Anna Sofia Stromberg (1864-1946) on 25 August 1888 in Chicago, IL. They had two daughters. He worked as a tinsmith and sheet metal worker. The family resided in Chicago, IL up to the time of his death on 30 January 1935 at the age of 73. He was interred at Rosehill Cemetery.
