Edson Curtis Daves (1885-1961), 76, died at his home at 508 Reid street at 11:30 a.m. yesterday.
He had been a resident of Palatka for two years, coming from North Carolina. He was a veteran of World War I and a retired farmer and carpenter.
Survivors include a half-sister Mrs. Bertha Mullis of New Market, Ala., and two half-brothers, Wilbur F. Daves of East Point, Ga., and Walter B. Daves of New Market, Ala.
Funeral arrangements will be announced later by Masters Funeral Home. Palatka Daily News, Monday, 4 Dec 1961.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday graveside at Oak Hill East Cemetery with Rev. John Strickland officiating.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Everline Henderson and Mrs. Olive Moseley of Alaska; three sons, Tarpon and Gean of Germany and Vernon of the U.S. Navy; a half-sister, Mrs. Bertha Mullis of New Market, Ala.; and two half-brothers, Wilbur F. Daves of East Point, Ga. and Walter B. Daves of New Mexico.
