Mr. Jimmy Gordon Davis, 92, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood, South Carolina. A native of Elberton, he was born August 25, 1928, the son of the late Howard Gordon and Louise Moore Davis. Although Mr. Davis was a lifelong resident of Elberton, he had recently moved to NHC in Greenwood to be closer to family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie D. Alexander and Carlis D. Williams. Mr. Davis served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean war and was stationed in Korea.
A graveside service, with Military Honors, was conducted at Elmhurst Cemetery on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 with Rev. Andrew Danals officiating.
