She was born Oct. 23, 1941, a daughter of the late Victor and Aldona (Simakevich) Falkie and was a lifelong resident of Mount Carmel.
She was a proud graduate of Mount Carmel High School Class of 1959 and went on to earn a degree as a Registered Nurse from the former Ashland State General Hospital School of Nursing.
She worked as a nursing supervisor at Mountain View Manor in Trevorton for 25 years until her retirement.
She was a member of Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, Mount Carmel.
She leaves behind her four adoring grandchildren, Heather and Jennifer Bolick, and Marcus and Zachary Wasilewski. In addition, she is survived by her daughter, Suzanne Bolick, and her husband, Frank; son-in-law, Mark Wasilewski; brother, Thomas Falkie; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents were her daughter, Lisa Wasilewski; brother, Leonard Falkie; sister-in-law, Jean Falkie and her dog, Traydor.
COVAS - Sandra "Sugar" Covas, 76, of Mount Carmel. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 23, 2018 at 11:00 am in Divine Redeemer Church, 300 West Ave., Mt. Carmel. Rev. Martin O. Moran, III, Pastor will be the celebrant. Burial will be private in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mt. Carmel Township. There will be no visitation or services prior to the mass.
