Jerry Turner Azbill, age 66, of Rocky Comfort, Missouri, passed away Friday, March 30, 2007, in National Health Care in Joplin, Missouri.
He was born November 28, 1940, in Bellflower, California, the son of Turner H. and Virginia (Springer) Azbill. He was united in marriage to Donna McDermed and to this union four children were born. On May 1, 2004, he married Margarete (Free) Kelley, who survives. He is also survived by three sons, Jon T. Azbill of Grain Valley, Missouri, Joseph D. Azbill and Justin P. Azbill both of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Julie Renee Rogers of Grand Rapids, Michigan; a step-son, William Lynn Kelley of Rocky Comfort; a step-daughter, Margarete Elizabeth Schurr of Jacksonville, Florida; one brother, James Azbill of Independence, Missouri; one sister, Janice Woody of Kansas City, Missouri; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jerry received his education in the Kansas City area, where he spent most of his life. He served in the United States Marines. He was a self-employed salesman around Kansas City. In 2002 he moved to Rocky Comfort to make his home. He was a member of Stella Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 3, 2007, in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Pastor Glenn Ennis will conduct the services. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery, Stella.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, in McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
