DEATH OF BENNETT BOYD

Mr. Boyd whose death occurred Thanksgiving day, takes from Conesus one of its best citizens. His death was not looked for by his friends, but his health had been poor for some time. It came from a general breaking down. Mr. Boyd had been a resident of Conesus since boyhood. Though his business was that of a farmer, he had not always confined himself to it, having acted as an agent for different firms, but traveling was not a congenial business, for he was to fond of his home. Beside Mrs. Boyd, there is one grandson Paul, who is now a resident of Hornell. Mr. Boyd was 80 years of age.

Mr. Boyd was an honored member of the local Masonic lodge and the funeral Sunday was attended by a delegation, which would have been much larger but for the hard storm. The Rev. Dr. Keihle officiated at the funeral and the burial in the Alger cemetery was conducted by the lodge. The community has lost a good citizen.

The death of B. R. Boyd, at his home north of the village on Thanksgiving day, took out of the town one of our oldest citizens and a man held in high respect by all. He was a good friend and neighbor and will missed by all who knew him. His age was 80 years.
