Carol Arlene Sonneveldt, age 82, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018.

She was born on November 29, 1935, to William and Lucille (Whitworth) Brock in Chicago, IL. On June 22, 1963, she married Jack Sonneveldt and they spent 37 years together until his passing in 2001. Carol loved traveling, singing, boating and skiing, both snow and water. For 25 years Carol was a faithful servant of the Lord while teaching Bible Study Fellowship and serving as an active board member for many charitable organizations. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Carol is survived by her children, Jon (Lynel) Sonneveldt, Robyn (Keith) Brodie, Lance (Jami) Sonneveldt; ten grandchildren; sisters, Marilyn (Karl) Bruder, Joyce Heinrich, Billie Adele Brock; brother, William Brock; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; siblings, Lois Brock and Stephen Brock.

A visitation with Carol's family will take place on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100). A MEMORIAL SERVICE will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 10:00 AM at the Lee Chapel. Burial will take place in Rosedale Cemetery at a later date. For a more lasting memory, donations in Carol's name can be made to Grace Adventures.
