James D. Stinson passed into Heaven on December 13, 2005. Preceded in death by his beloved parents, Carl and Mary Stinson. Survived by his beloved son, James "Dee" Stinson, Jr. and wife Tanya, daughter; Casey Mostyn and husband Brian. Grandchildren; Taylor, Carly, Trevor, Kaitlin, Kristin and Courtney. Brother; Stan Stinson and wife Claudia, sister; Carla "Missy" Stinson, nephews; Shayne, Casey and Landry. Nieces, Jennifer, Melissa, Amanda and Margaret Ann, beloved Aunt; Doris Herron, and numerous Cousins. Jim was also blessed with many close friends.

Jim was currently employed by Williams Bailey Law Firm specializing in Labor Relations. Previously he was Executive Secretary for the Houston Gulf Coast Building and Construction Trade Council until 1991, Business Manager and Apprenticeship Coordinator for Glaziers Local 1778, while serving in that capacity, Jim also was appointed or elected to numerous boards as well as presidential and vice-presidential positions in the labor movement.
Jim's proudest accomplishment was as Executive Director of the Gulf Coast Built Rite partnership, a collaboration of owners, contractors, and local unions jointly consulting and managing on current and upcoming construction projects for the Gulf Coast, set two world records at the South Texas Nuclear Project for the best times and performances of change outs of the nuclear generators.

Regarded as a true "Southern Gentleman," Jim earned the admiration of his friends and the respect of his adversaries. He will be greatly missed.
