Elbert Glennis Alverson, 78, of Gadsden, Alabama, died on February 20, 2018. He worked at Wallace Construction for forty years and retired as a superintendent. He was preceded in death by his son, James Elbert Alverson; parents, Jessie Nolen Alverson and Lois (Nelson) Alverson; and brother, David E. Alverson. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, two grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and sister. Funeral: 3:00 p.m. February 22, 2018 at Village Chapel Funeral Home.
