Mary Helen (Alvarado) Guerrero of Pleasanton, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the age of 82. She was born in Amphion on November 21, 1935 to Jose Maria Alvarado and Manuela Alcorta.
Mary Helen is survived by her son, Joe Alvarado and wife Esther of Pleasanton; daughters, Grace Griego of Pleasanton and Becky Ortiz of Jourdanton; brothers, Roy Alcorta, Rudy Alcorta, Roger Alcorta, Johnny Oliver and Alfonso R. Alvarado and sisters, Mollie Arres, Estella Camarillo, Lilia Guevarra, Rose Reems, Mary Ann Alvarado and Martha H. Alvarado. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Deidra Rodriguez, Cybil Paez, T.J. Griego, Melissa Reeves, Jessica Machado, Denise Soto, Brandi Espinosa, Tiffany Sanchez and Robert Castellan; seventeen great-grandchildren and three great- great grandchildren plus one on the way.
Mary Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo Ochoa Guerrero; parents, Jose Maria Alvarado and Manuela Alcorta and brother, Bobby Alcorta.
Visitation will be conducted at Hurley Funeral Home at 118 W. Oaklawn Road in Pleasanton on Monday, Febreuary 26, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Matthew Catholic Church at 1700 Campbell in Jourdanton on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Amphion Cemetery.
