Johnny “John” Dale Hutchinson Sr., 83, of Huntington, WV, passed away unexpectedly January 18th at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born September 27, 1934 in Cabell County. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 63 years, Helen Knight Hutchinson only eight months ago.

He is survived by four children, John Hutchinson Jr., Kristie Blake-Burgess, Steven (Laura) Hutchinson, and Joe (Jennifer) Hutchinson; four grandchildren, grandson ER Blake III and three granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter Brooklynne Blake.

John retired from Owens-Illinois where he worked hard and formed many lasting friendships. He loved the outdoors and the many pets he had throughout the years. John was a great provider for his family and found great joy in making sure his children had the happiest holidays and birthdays possible. He was the epitome of tough love and was a wonderful husband and father.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Keith Wiebe Sr. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park.
