Provincial doctor in Karlskrona from 1889-1907, after which he retired and moved to Stockholm's Hedvig Eleonora parish. He studied at Uppsala Academy and received his medical license in 1880 and practiced at various locations in Sweden. He produced several medical publications and conducted studies on the sanitary conditions in towns in Sweden and Norway. In Karlskrona, he was available every Sunday for free medical care for poor persons.
