Martha Ann Kirkpatrick, 85, 1390-A West Main Street, Ephrata, Pennsylvania, formerly of Jacksonburg, West Virginia, died at Ephrata Hospital Tuesday. She was born at Jacksonburg, daughter of the late Dennis and Elzena Morris Hostutler. She was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Kirkpatrick, in 1952. She was a member of the Bible Fellowship Church and had made more than 100 quilts in her lifetime. She was preceded in death by three children, Ralph J. and Paul J. and Shirley Ann White.

She is survived by four sons: Arthur F., Frank D., Willard W., and Jerry R., all of Ephrata; six daughters: Esther M. Schmidt of Ephrata, Freda B. Dulaney of Weirton, West Virginia, Lois C. Kirkpatrick [Henthorne] of North Ridgeville, Ohio, Mary Lou Higginbotham and Loretta Sue Rebman of Ephrata, Linda Kay Behney of Reading, Pennsylvania; 37 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Ada White of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Esta Thomas of Maple Rapids, Michigan.

Friends will be received at the Gravnor Home for Funerals, 100 Main Street, Ephrata, from 7-9 p.m. today and one hour before services at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Revs. Daniel Allen and Robert W. Smock will officiate. Interment in Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery.
