Obituary: Jesse G. Cowger, departed February 25, 2018, from an extended illness. Jesse is survived by his wife, Rae Jean; children, Bethany (Christopher) Gregg, Ben (Fiona) Cowger and Clinton J. (Mindy) Cowger, Nikita (Daniel Lloyd) Cowger; siblings, Denzil (Yvonne) Cowger and Denver Cowger; grandchildren, Ryan and Brandi, Gregg and Dakota, Austin, and Gavin Lloyd, Noah Williams, Kelly and Kailey Bragg; many step-children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews; ex-wife Linda Crowe; and close canine companion, Button Ann. He was preceded in death by parents, Clarence Gay Cowger and Lillian F. Baldwin Cowger; sisters, Kathy Kwiatowski, Opal Jo Phares, and Mary Kay Cowger; brother Richard Cowger; and ex-wife Nancy J. Cowger. Jesse was born on April 8, 1948 at his current residence in Bergoo. He worked as a Tool & Die Machinist and Heavy Equipment Operator for most of his life. Jesse served as a host parent for 13+ foreign exchange students and volunteered as Santa Clause for community events. Jesse enjoyed nature, hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and spending time with his family and friends. Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 6-9 PM at Dodd & Reed Funeral Home. Funeral Services to celebrate Jesse’s life will be held on Saturday at 11AM at the Funeral Home with Rev. Bennie Cowger officiating. Interment will follow in Meadowland Cemetery.
