The funeral services for William E Christian were held at 3 o'clock on Saturday afternoon at the Church of Our Savior. The Rev Edwin Castledine officiated. Interment was at Union cemetery.
Mr Christian, throughout his life prominently connected with many of the major mines of the county, passed away Thursday following a period of several months of declining health.
Most recently he had been superintendent of the Kelsey mine of the California-Aztec Gold Mining Company, from which work he retired last July in hope that rest might improve his condition.
Native of El Dorado county and a lifelong resident of this county, Mr Christian was a member of Morning Star Lodge of Odd Fellows, Zeta Encampment No 5, and Placerville Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Alice Christian.
