Glenda F. Greer, 79, of Valparaiso passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018 at home. She was born January 29, 1939 in Newbern County, Tennessee to Albert and Martha (Burkett) Kelso and graduated from Valparaiso High School. She made her career as a loan officer with Northern Indiana Bank. Glenda was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Kouts, enjoyed reading, gardening and canning, but always had a special place in her heart for the canines that made their home with her family. On May 29, 1971 she married Karl "Gene" Greer, Sr. who preceded her in death in 2013. Survivors include children, Karl Greer, Jr. (Mindy Click) of Valparaiso, Dawn Greer of North Carolina, grandchildren: Karl (Jacklyn) Greer, III, Jessica Ferrell, Cameron, Christopher and Andrea Greer and 10 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Joan Baird. A private family burial will be held at Angelcrest Cemetery.
