Rita T. Pritzl, age 87, a resident of Cato, died Friday afternoon, February 5, 2016 at Maritime Gardens, Manitowoc.

She was born on October 15, 1928 in Newton, daughter of the late Frank and Mathilda (Ziarnik) Mella. On May 29, 1954 she married Norbert N. Pritzl at St. Casimir Catholic Church, Northeim. Rita and Norb owned and operated the family farm until their retirement in 1987. She was a member of the Manitowoc County Homemakers and the Christian Mothers Society.

Survivors include her husband: Norbert, Cato; eight sons and four daughters-in-law: Andrew Pritzl, Lodi, WI Christopher and Joan Pritzl, Whitelaw, Dominic Pritzl, Whitelaw, Lawrence Pritzl, Clarks Mills, Michael Pritzl, Green Bay, Mark and Stacy Pritzl, Cedarburg, Patrick and Mary Pritzl, Franksville, Nicholas and Christine Pritzl, West Bend; one daughter: Barbara Pritzl, Greendale; ten grandchildren; three brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Paul Pritzl, Manitowoc, Edward and Ann Pritzl, Cato, Donald and Joyce Pritzl, Casco; seven sisters-in-law and five brothers-in-law: Marie Schermetzler, Manitowoc, Anna Mae and Roger Cornils, Manitowoc, Geraldine and Dave Brouchoud, New Berlin, Eunice and LeRoy Bielke, Monica Herzog, Katherine and Ronald Krupski, all of Manitowoc, Susan and Howard Zimmerman, Cato. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by six sisters and five brothers-in-law: Rose and Stanley Tadych, Martha and Wilbert Mallman, Gertrude and Fred Bast, Celia Mella, Agnes and Frank Greskowiak, Phyllis and Jerome Wojta; one brother: Leonard Mella; one sister-in-law: Eunice Mella; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Agatha and Ed Leist, Irene and Joe Oswald; four brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law: John Pritzl, Othmar and Laura Pritzl, Robert Herzog, Bernard Schermetzler, Violet Pritzl.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. Concelebrating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Richard Klingeisen and Rev. David Greskowiak. Burial will follow at St. Mary Catholic Church Cemetery, Clarks Mills.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Monday (TONIGHT), February 8, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills where a prayer service will conclude the visitation. The visitation will continue on Tuesday morning, February 9, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM.
