LAKELAND - Mr. Charles Griffin Harrell, of Lakeland, died August 14, 2012 at his home, due to natural causes.
Mr. Harrell was born January 21, 1920 in Milan, Georgia. He was a member of Gapway Baptist Church. He was a Master Mason at the Masonic Lodge in Milan, GA. He served in the United States Army for 21 years during World War II and Korea.
Mr. Harrell was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Gladys V. Harrell. Survivors include daughter, Sanfra (Phil) Mays; sons Carl (Beverly) Harrell, Jeffrey Harrell, grandchildren, Michelle Montero, Monica Daly, Ashley Vetter, Griffin Harrell, and 7 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, August 20, 2012 at 6 p.m. at Gapway Baptist Church, 1705 North Combee Road, Lakeland, FL.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, Fl. 33823.
