Shawn E. McMasters, 69 of Canal Fulton, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at VNS Hospice, Ridgewood Road, Copley.
Shawn was born November 11, 1948 in Akron to the late Donald and Myrtle (Smith) McMasters and was a 1966 graduate of Coventry High School. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1968 until 1972 in which he served on the U.S.S. Edisto. Shawn was a commercial roofer, loved his Harley and was a lifetime member of the AMA and the HOG Club.
Shawn is survived by his sister, Donelda (Donald) Hedges; brother, Robert (Pauline) Phillips; special friend, Judy Fowler; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be THURSDAY, March 8, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Swigart-Easterling Funeral Home, 624 Cherry St. East (Rte. 93) Canal Fulton with Chaplain David McBee, officiating and where friends may call THURSDAY 4:00 p.m. until time of service. A committal service with military honors will be conducted at a later date at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville.
