Ellen J. Glerum, age 86 of the Homestead community in Columbus, NJ formerly of Bergen County, NJ passed away on Thursday March 1, 2018 at Virtua Hospital Mt. Holly, NJ.

Ellen was born in Patterson, NJ, and resided in Bergen County before moving to Columbus in 1988. She received her teaching degree from William Patterson University, and retired after 35 years as a school teacher for the New Millford Board of Education. She was a life member of the NJEA, NEA, and the Bergen County Education Association. She was the former president of the Senior Citizen Club at Homestead and was also a member of the Knitt-Witts knitting club there. Ellen was also a life member of the Mansfield Township Historical Society, and a member of the Foundation of Life Center Church.

She was pre deceased by her husband Frank D, in 2000.

Committal prayers will be offered on Tuesday March 13th at 1 PM at the Brig. General William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery , 350 Province Line Rd. North Hanover, NJ.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Huber-Moore Funeral Home, Bordentown, NJ.
