Bud was born in Jacksonville, Illinois in 1913. His parents are Frank Day and Reffina Jaciento Day. He married Marian Rose Kurtz in St. Louis Missouri on, October 18, 1947. He and Marian had two daughters Victoria (1956-2021) and Jullie.



Master Sergeant JD "Bud" Day of St. Peters, MO, a Veteran of World War II who served in Patton's 5th Armored Division. Bud served under Gen. Patton in Germany and in Italy. He had numerous platoons shot out from under him and he was the last man surviving each. He was always a biker at heart and remained so until his death. Bud even brought his daughter home from the hospital in a side car shortly after her birth. He was preceded in death by his wife Marian and two sisters Ethel Day and Mary Jane Brown.
