He was born May 9, 1919, at Maquoketa, Iowa, to Francis and Addie McPeak-Hoovler.
He served in the Army during World War II and the Korean War.
He married Edith L. "Pinky" Mingle from the Oswego, Kansas area. She died Jan. 25, 1995.
He is survived by a sister, Ina Clowes of Renwick, Iowa.
A graveside service will be Mar. 13, 2007 at Oswego Cemetery in Oswego, Kansas.
