Samuel Banks, age 70, died at his home in Brighton Township last evening after an illness of cancer. He was one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of that section, having lived there 35 years. He served in the 14th Regiment, Pennsylvania Cavalry during the Civil War. His widow; four daughters, Mrs Junius W. McBride, Mrs. John McPhearson and Mrs. T. E. Garrett of Beaver, Mrs. W.F. Morgan of Brighton Township; two sons, Dr. Charles Banks, Hartford, Ohio and Bert at home, survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 at his late home.
Interment at Beaver Cemetery.
