She was born in the Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory (now Oklahoma). Her parents were James Richard and Sarah Ann Donoho Hill. She married William Henry Strong (also buried in Triplett Cemetery) on December 8, 1904, and they had ten children: William Rosco (died when young), Emma Ruth Neoma, Thomas Lee Arvil, Altha Frances, James Richard, Fern, Manuel Herbert, Faye, Ray (died when young) and John Ross. Faye and Ray were twins. Arnetta worked hard all her life, making a home for her husband and children. She made clothing and quilts and was a good cook. Every year until her health did not allow her to, Arnetta had a garden, canning the vegetables she grew.
